As you might have guessed by now, this is not a balanced portrait. This is hagiography--hero worship done for basic cable TV.

If you want to see how quickly everything can become nothing, this is the show for you. If, however, you can never forgive, then stay away.

MVP is a well-crafted apologia pro vita sua. But judging by the first episode, it's also a dry and dull TV experience. Whether you're pro- or anti-Vick, you may not have the patience for this plodding portrait.

Apart from a couple of worked-up animal-rights activists, shown in sound-bite clips at demonstrations and easy to dismiss--there is no one on-screen who is not supportive of him, the show becomes more about what Vick has suffered himself, or at any rate the pain they all shared, than it is about the pain he has caused.

This shows a man looking for pity not redemption- skip it!
Brian N. gave it a3:
To stay true to his hobbies and the quality represented, this fluffer piece should be tossed into a pen then torn apart by pit bulls.
